In Star Trek Online, you play a captain in neat Trek stories set a decade after Star Trek: Picard. I started creating Ashlyn there in late 2015, and achieved peak nerd life by immersing myself in a world as this awesome character, interacting with other players’ awesome characters. But I accidentally took steps towards transition with her too. 6 years ago, I was suffering and didn’t yet know why. I eventually had to stop everything for my health - social life, work, literally everything while I tried to get it all under control - and eventually made Ashlyn in STO during my abundance of free time.
